Pedro Celis joined the office as Research and Writing Specialist in 2016. After graduating from the University of Washington School of Law with honors, he began his legal career as a law clerk for the Honorable Ronald Cox at the Washington State Court of Appeals. Over nearly a decade with the Federal Public Defender, Mr. Celis has developed expertise in federal criminal practice, with particular proficiency in Fourth Amendment law and the United States Sentencing Guidelines. His research and writing support the office’s mission of providing excellent representation to clients who cannot afford counsel.
