Assistant Federal Defender Sean R. Tilton is a 2007 graduate of the University of San Francisco School of Law. He was awarded a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Wisconsin in 2002. Sean has focused on advocating for the indigent since law school, where he interned for the San Francisco Public Defender's Office and First District Appellate Project and participated in the USF Criminal Defense Clinic and the USF Investor Justice Project. Sean is a recipient of the USF Public Interest Law Certificate, the Pro Bono Publico Award, and the Arthur Zief Jr. Scholarship for community contributions. He was also Business Editor of the USF Maritime Law Journal and active in student groups. Sean is licensed to practice in the state of Minnesota and admitted in the Western District of Michigan.
